COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR

The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign has an opening for a Communications Coordinator in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. The Communications Coordinator works in collaboration with the Enrollment Management Communication’s Unit in coordinating print and electronic publications to attract and build a relationship between prospective students and families with the University of Illinois. This position is a 100% full-time, benefits-eligible Academic Professional position. The starting date is as soon as possible after the closing date and the salary range is $37,000 - $39,000.
Some Responsibilities Include:
- Serve as the liaison between the Enrollment Services Communications Unit and the Undergraduate Admissions Office.
- Manage the Admissions Facebook pages and Twitter accounts. This includes posting information, responding to questions and monitoring the site.
- Oversee an admissions counselor whose responsibilities include coordinating calling campaigns for prospective students including those calls made by students, admissions staff and faculty.
- Present information about the University and the admissions and enrollment process to prospective students and their families. These groups can range in size from 4 to 400 or more.
- Represent the University at college fairs, high school visits or community colleges throughout the state of Illinois and possibly out-of-state.
Qualifications: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and four years of related experience is required.
